This video tells the story of African American battered women and some challenges they say they experience in the U.S. courts associated with domestic violence cases. Produced by Dr. Oliver WilliamsThis presentation will explore the challenges Latina battered U.S. born, immigrant and refugee women may face at the hands of their husband. This presentation will feature a skit that comes from the lived experience of such victims of abuse. Issues of culture, context, country and fear may play in domestic violence. Contributors include key informants, DV advocates, Judges, and Scholars when it comes to violence in the African Community.
